This past week was quite busy. Sunday we attended both of the wards we are assigned to.  The Lakeside Park and Highland Heights wards in Northern Kentucky.  We were able to attend the Highland Heights ward PEC and met the elders assigned to that ward.  One of the elders, elder Christensen, was in Julia's 11 year old primary class  over seven years ago. That evening we returned to the Mission Home for dinner and were able to have a surprise visit with Daniel Rellaford.  What a great surprise for us. After dinner we returned to our Northern Kentucky church building for the fourth annual interfaith Christmas Devotional.  It was a great meeting of song and the spoken word from four different christian faiths. Worked at the mission office on Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday we left our apartment at about 6:30 so we could pick up four elders in Middletown OH and give them a ride to the Christmas conference held in Muncie IN for the northern half of the mission. We spent Sunday evening with Craig and Charolette Knight in Havana IL.  Had a great visit. We spent Monday night at the Mission Home President and Sister Welch and 12 new missionaries. Finally got into our apartment on Wednesday.  We have almost everything put away but still can't find all that we think we brought. We have been to the mission office but will start next week really learning what is going on. Tomorrow we will attend the Highland Heights and Lakeside Park wards and meet the bishops we will be working with. We got to facetime with with Julia and Dusty and the kids.  Got to love the technology.  Also love the Garmin that our dear grandson Harrison let us use.  Without it we would still be looking for Havana IL.  We use it everyday just to get to the store and back.  It is

Today we said goodbye to my parents.  They are leaving for their mission in Ohio tomorrow morning.   We are going to miss them so much!  The only time I've been away from them for longer than 2 weeks is when I left to go on my own mission,  but while we are going to miss them we know they will do wonderful and great things in Ohio.   So proud of you Mom and Dad!  And we can't wait to hear all about your adventures as you post them on this blog   😀
