This past week was quite busy.

Sunday we attended both of the wards we are assigned to.  The Lakeside Park and Highland Heights wards in Northern Kentucky.  We were able to attend the Highland Heights ward PEC and met the elders assigned to that ward.  One of the elders, elder Christensen, was in Julia's 11 year old primary class  over seven years ago.

That evening we returned to the Mission Home for dinner and were able to have a surprise visit with Daniel Rellaford.  What a great surprise for us.

After dinner we returned to our Northern Kentucky church building for the fourth annual interfaith Christmas Devotional.  It was a great meeting of song and the spoken word from four different christian faiths.

Worked at the mission office on Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday we left our apartment at about 6:30 so we could pick up four elders in Middletown OH and give them a ride to the Christmas conference held in Muncie IN for the northern half of the mission.
After a great conference we stopped at Arby's and fed them before we took the long ride back home.

We have some super sisters assigned to one of the two wards we are assigned to.  They in fact live in the same apartment complex that we do - just a few buildings down the street.  Sister Anderson and Sister Harris.  Sister Anderson reminds us of our granddaughter Natalie Jones.  We came home one night and found our door had been vandalized by these two sweet sisters.

Thursday we were back in the office getting ready for the second mission conference on Friday.  Again we picked up four elders from two different areas and headed to Montgomery OH for the day.

This last week - Thursday in fact - I finally felt like I kind of knew what I was doing with the cars.  I am sure when we go back to the office, the feeling will evaporate quickly.

Merry Christmas to everyone.  Let's remember the "reason for the season".  What a tender mercy it is to know of the Savior's birth and life and death and resurrection.  All of which is a grand gift from our Father in Heaven and a representation of his Divine and Perfect love for all of his children.
